4th week of FYP. Unlucky!
Yet again. Another post.
This week in FYP has been pretty "busy".
Not to mention, Aggravating, Irritating and Frustrating.
I really am starting to think I'm cursed with 1 million years of bad luck.
First. I set my lappy to reformat and return to default factory settings. This would probby take like around 15 mins so I went to take a bath first. I came back and my lappy is turned off.
I turn it on, thinking it's reformatted. Right after the booting screen, this is what shows:
NTLDR is not foundSo my face becomes like really fed up and I'm having this 3 words in my mind.
Press any key to restart
WHAT THE F***?
Luckily, I pre-ordered Vista Business from school that day. And now, my lappy runs on Vista. Pretty interesting. But I still prefer XP.
Secondly, I get a warning letter from Mark Lim and Kelvin Ng for being late. Apparently, the timing of me clocking in is taken from the fingerprint system and four of the timings showed that I'm 30 minutes late.
8:52 a.m
9:02 a.m
9:03 a.m
9:17 a.m
And those timings are still clearly embedded in my mind.
Yay.
And now, I'm on probation for 2 weeks to come to school early.
Might not sound like a good reason to you. But seriously, give it a try for a week first. Then tell me your comments on this:
I got countered with this question instead, "In your previous semesters, you had classes that started at 8 a.m. right? Why can you make it on time for that and not for your FYP?"
You wanna know why?
BECAUSE THAT LESSON FALLS ONLY ON A SINGLE DAY WHERE I NEED TO WAKE UP AT 8 A.M.!
NOT FOR A FISHING WHOLE WEEK!
And then, I receive a warning to remove me from my competition due to my "attitude".
Attitude, they call it.
If the problem is with my attitude, why do I want to sacrifice my health to sleep only for 4-5 hours, and then come to school?
Not to mention, even though muslim students are able to go home at 5 p.m instead of the usual 6 p.m...
I CLOCK OUT AFTER 6 P.M, GOD DAMN IT!
Never mind that. Now, I just want to finish this probation period and do my project in peace.

- Try sleeping at 12 a.m.
- Wake up at 5 a.m.
- Just spend around 15 mins eating stuff
- Go back to sleep
- Try waking up 45 mins later at 6 a.m.
- Go to school after that on bus 72 from Tampines Interchange

Here's a list of stuff that I like and I hate, the dos and don't s during FYP:
Things I Hate:
- Fingerprint Clock In System. The bane of my existence.
- Unfair treatment between similar courses. Why do we get to be the guinea pigs for the fingerprint system and not those at Level 3?
- An auto-shutdown laptop. Seriously.
- A handphone that can literally go on low batt after 5 mins of talking, even after being fully charged.
- A PSP that can go on low batt after 15 mins of WiFi play. I can't socialize better if this is not fixed.
- Being scolded, ranted, accused of stuff I did not do, including giving lousy "attitude" just because I reach school late by 30 minutes.
- How lecturers give you a solution to your late-coming due to specific reasons. Such as, "If you can't make it on time for this month, then we'll delay it later. You'll just have to finish your third year later."
- Systems and Rules. They were meant to be broken, you know.
- How some password retrieval website works if you fail to type in the correct password 3 times. Dark Eden website has wasted 2-3 hours of my life till now.
- The guys in my lab. They make the apparent negative score of -1000000 on FYP into 100%. The existing and pushing force to reach school everyday without fail.
- Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G. I have a hunter to hunt with now in lab.
- Dynamips, Dynagen and GNS3. Its way more fun than the dang fingerprint system.
- NAPFA. New friends, new buddies.
- My supervisors. Comparitive to the others, they deserve a 9/10.
- Come early. Warning letters are time bombs. This... Somehow shows your attitude in FYP.
- Endure, endure and endure. It goes to show your willpower to take scoldings from your supervisor.
- Keep a low profile. Getting too well known might get you in hot soup.
- Opposite of the above.
Word of the Week
Kao Peh (Pronounced cow~peh/bei/beh. Verb. A word that signifies insult of one's father. E.g, "Wa lao. That si gina sibei kao peh.")

That's all for today. Feeling much better after this post.
Although I'm still pissed.
Kao peh.
